Don't Fry The Bacon While In The Nude~!

I am hungry!

I have been fasting and need to fulfill the need of putting some bacon 'into the ministry'. The problem is that I don't have any bacon. I need to get some, but what kind? I get to the market and find the bacon isle. Hum! I find a huge selection in which to choose. There is pork, canadian bacon, maple, beef, turkey..........oh my~!

In this case, bacon represents a type of ministry or service. To fry bacon means teaching or serving. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea that I had because several folks were fighting over the 'on sale' bacon. They bickered over prices, packaging, brands, freshness of the meat and so forth. They all tried to explain to each other which is the best choice and why!

Upon arriving home with the bacon, I grab the skillet. While I (we) must be careful or we can/could get injured or perhaps injure someone else that is standing too close. In order to fry the bacon, we must follow some rules of safety.

The same is true of ministry or service. We must certainly follow rules in ministry. That is not putting us under the law of Moses again. It is freedom in Christ.

Rule #1
Have a healthy respect for the fire. Ephesians 5:15 tells us to walk circumspectly. Use patience with this practice. Be careful in your ministry. Cover up! Don't stand 'naked' or unprepared for said ministry (tasks).

Rule #2
Be above reproach! What happens when bacon is frying? It splatters and then shrinks. A ministry as well as the bacon should be watch. As the ministry grows, major teaching should be in order and available. Teach yourself and those that are watching your every move. Teach (remind) them that even with a goal of wonderful bacon, there can be costly desipleship.

There are two records in the Bible of the genealogy of Jesus Christ. One is in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 1, the other is in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 3. Matthew's account traces the line of descent from Abraham to Jesus, while Luke's account follows the ancestry from Adam to Jesus. Quite a few differences and discrepancy exist between the two records. Most startling is that from King David to Jesus the lineages are entirely different.

The Differences:
# Matthew's account traces the lineage from Abraham to Jesus (41 generations), while Luke records the ancestry from Adam to Jesus (76 generations).

Matthew's genealogy is condensed and divided into three groups of 14, representing a movement through three time periods. The first group lists the patriarchs, the second names the kings, and the third contains private citizens. The intent was not to give a strict record, but rather, present the historical progression. It begins by highlighting the family origin, then the rise to power through the Davidic throne, and eventually the decline from royalty to the humble birth of the promised Messiah. * Luke's account is unusual in that is begins with Jesus and progresses backward through history, rather than following the order of chronological succession. Some suggest that Luke's purpose in presenting a "regression" was to magnify attention on Jesus.

* Though nearly identical from Abraham to David, the two accounts are entirely different from David to Jesus. After David, only the names of Shealtiel and Zerubbabel appear on both lists.

Throughout the ages, scholars have pondered and argued over the reasons for the conflicting genealogies of Matthew and Luke, particularly since Jewish scribes were known for their precise and detailed record keeping. Skeptics are usually quick to attribute these differences to biblical errors.

"BIO: Mr. Salomon is the founder and leader of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. In his private life, Gershon is an expert researcher and lecturer in Middle Eastern studies, specializing in the history of the national movement of the Kurdish people. He is an officer in the Israel Defense Force. Gershon is a 10th generation Jerusalemite. He is descended from Rabbi Avraham Solomon Zalman Zoref who settled in Jerusalem in 1811. Rabbi Zoref was the first Jewish pioneer in Jerusalem to start the redemptive process of the people and the land by rebuilding the waste land. He even sent out one of his sons to locate the ten lost tribes to bring them back to the Land of Israel because he knew the return of the ten tribes was a condition of the redemptive process. Rabbi Zoref was assassinated by Arabs who thought they could stop this G-dlyki process.

Even as a child, Gershon Salomon knew that G-d was calling him to continue the work for the redemption of the people of Israel. Gershon was involved as a youth in the War of Independence. He was arrested at age 11 by the British Mandatory police. Later when he joined the IDF, he led a company in the Golan Heights. In a battle with the Syrian Army, Mr. Salomon was injured accidently when, in the heat and confusion of battle, he was run over by a tank. Syrian soldiers are trained to shoot “again” any wounded Israeli soldiers. When they were about to shoot “again” Mr. Salomon, they all suddenly ran away. Later these Syrian soldiers reported to UN officers that they had seen thousands of angels around this IDF officer and had, therefore, fled. It was at this time that Mr. Salomon heard the voice of G-d speaking to him that He was not yet finished with him. Gershon Salomon understood this as a divine call to consecrate himself to the work of the Temple Mount.
After one year in the hospital, Mr. Salomon had recovered sufficiently to return to his unit even though he now walked on crutches. He continued his service in defense of the land of Israel. He feels that the greatest moment of his life, thus far, was his participation in the liberation of the Temple Mount and Jerusalem during the Six-Day War. He believes at that moment that the circle was closed between his generation and the generation of the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E.
