Lynn and I have worked together online for Hmmmm, well, we may not say how many years... oooohhhh... yes we will, about 10 years, (I am writing this in 2008) we have worked in several Christian communities together, we have laughed together a LOT,we get silly sometimes, God does have a sense of humor, He made me to prove it... LOL...

and He's still working on me...

we have cried together numerous times, we have prayed together, stood together through thick and thin, we have seen the enemy come into our communities under numerous disguises to try to destroy what God has built... but no matter what the ol' sneak has tried, God is and always has been and even better, He always will be a long ways ahead of the enemy...

We are together, Lynn and I because our hearts are united together with God... we live miles apart, have not yet met face to face, unfortunately because we would both love it... but we know each other because the same Jesus lives within us both... we have the same goals... to glorify God and see His Kingdom grow...

We are SISTERS!!

Lynn is the first member to join here, and she is already an administrater here... I trust her completely... she is trustworthy because the one she serves with all her heart holds her accountable... just as He does me...

The Church where I attend is my place of service and worship, and so are the communities that Lynn and I Minister through together...

I LOVE my Church family... and they ARE my family... and I will continue to introduce you more and more to the Church too... it is Pearcy Full Gospel Lighthouse...

I also plan to open pages linked to the communities I am speaking of, and also to my myspace....

I still have a lot of work to do... and I am thinkful I have Lynn here to helpme....

the whole armor of God

THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Eph 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Paul says a lot about practical living here... everyday, we are at war, and we need to realize it... he is telling us the practical way to survive this war...

verse 10...

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

the word strong translated from Greek word

endunamoo (in-dun-amoo)

which means increasing in strength

we should be always increasing in strength... in His strength... the joy of the Lord... and in the power of His might...

without Jesus we have no joy, no strength...

John 15:5-12

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

the joy of the Lord is our strength, He wants our joy to be full... for us to be STRONG in the Lord...

Phil 4:13

13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Luke 11:21-23

21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

we must be strong (increasing in strength) in the might of the Lord, so the enemy can't strip away our armor, and divide our goods...

verses 11-12

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

notice verse 11...

he tells us to PUT ON the whole armor of God... it won't just fall on us, we HAVE to put it on...

when David fought Goliath, he refused to wear Saul's armor... why?

it didn't fit... AND he hadn't proved it...

he chose to stick with what he HAD proven... what was that??

the power of God's might...

we can't wear someone elses armor either... we have to put on our own armor...

verse 12..

we wrestle against rebellious spirits, not the person who is being controlled by them...

it is easy to get mad at the person, and argue, but that only makes things worse, because it is not the person that we should wage war against, it is the spirit of rebellion

verses 13 and 14

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

we MUST have put on the WHOLE armor of God.... not just part of it, or we are vulnerable...

"HAVING DONE ALL TO STAND"

is a military term of that day... meaning...

after you have "conquered all" (withstood the evil of the day)

it doesn't mean after you are exhausted, just stand... and keep standing...

we are MORE than conquerors... Paul, like Jesus doesn't expects us to be MORE than conquerors...

remember we are INCREASING in the strength of the Lord, and in His might... BEFORE the enemy attacks...

after we have conquered the evil of this day... (we have stood, and with stood the evil of this day)

(then verse 14 starts with)

STAND - meaning... stand... ready to do battle...

don't sit down and get comfortable, and let your guard down....

STAND with the whole armor of God on... ready for the next attack...

THE LAST PART OF VERSE 14... "

having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;"

the armor, and dress of this day, was common, and people understood EXACTLY what Paul was telling them...

THEY WORE A SKIRTED SUIT... and they put what they called a girdle around their loins to hold the skirt in place,

to give them more freedom for movement...

IT ALSO held the bottom of the breastplate in place... held it steady in place... so it wouldn't swing from side to side, leaving them vulnerable...

LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH...

our integrity holds the Breastplate of righteousness in place... and gives us freedom of movement in battle, with nothing to hide, we have freedom to fight against the devil and his wickedness...

we can also see that the truth is the word of God... which holds our righteousness in place, and gives us freedom to fight, if we are obedient to the word...

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS...

the breastplate of righteousness, is not made of our righteousness... but the righteousness of God... of Christ...

1 Cor 1:30

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

our righteousness is of God...

we see in Matt 6:33 we are not to seek our own righteousness, but HIS...

Matt 6:33

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

KJV

how do we recieve this righteousness??

by faith in God...

Rom 4:9

9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Rom 4:13

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Rom 9:30-10:1

30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

our righteousness is through faith in God... that is our breastplate of righteousness... we believe in God... confess Jesus as Lord... and LIVE for Him, according to His word, BECAUSE we BELIEVE in Him, and His word...

and our integrity, (honesty, and uprightness, respectability) is our girdle that holds that breatplate in place...

WHAT DOES THE BREASTPLATE PROTECT

the heart, the lungs, the bowels...

THE HEART is the SEAT OF affections... a symbol of our emotions... the place where love originates...

the breastplate of righteousness will protect our ability to love...LUNGS... where we take in air... the spirit is like a breath of life in us... in fact in the Greek and Hebrew language the word translated "spirit" means wind, or breath...

the breastplate protects our spirit, and make a safe place for the spirit of God to dwell..BOWELS...

1 John 3:17

17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

the breastplate of righteousness protects...

our abilitly to love (the heart) and have compassion (the bowels) and makes a safe place for the spirit to dwell (the lungs)

VERSE 15

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

this is a PREPARATION... done BEFORE HAND... PREPARED...

don't wait until fear, confusion, and unrest comes... prepare ahead of time... with the WORD... the GOSPEL OF PEACE...

the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST...

Isa 32:17-18

17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

18And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

the armor all works together... RIGHTEOUSNESS brings peace....

Rom 8:6

6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

John 7:38

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

why FEET shod with peace??

we go in peace, everywhere we go...

VERSE 16

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

SHIELD OF FAITH

the shield of faith is EXTRA protection, to protect even our armor... and to give us that extra protection, should an area become a little vulnerable,

maybe because we have stumble and fell because of temptation... the shield of faith protects while we get our armor back in place...

and it protects our breastplate of righteousness, and our girdle of integrity...

VERSE 17

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

HELMET OF SALVATION

the helmet protects the head... the mind... the thoughts... from past sins... from present sins... and from future sins...

Rom 12:2

2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

DON'T FORGET THE WEAPON... who would go to war without a weapon... only one who doesn't plan to win...

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT... THE WORD OF GOD...

when Jesus was tempted... what was His answer everytime?

IT IS WRITTEN... THE WORD OF GOD...

THE 2 EDGED SWORD...

Heb 4:12

12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

STAY IN COMMUNICATION (prayer) with your commander in chief... BE ALERT...

don't get comfortable and complacent... don't be lulled to sleep....

STAND... ready to fight...

watchout for your fellow soldiers too...

Prayer and Potatoes

An old lady sat in her old arm-chair

With wrinkled face and disheveled hair

And pale and hunger-worn features;

For days and for weeks, her only fare

As she sat in her old arm-chair,

Had been nothing but potatoes.

But now they were gone, of bad and of good.

Not one was left for the old lady's food.

Of these her stock of potatoes.

She sighed and said, "What will I do? Where shall I send?

To whom shall I go, to get some more potatoes?"

She thought of the deacon over the way.

The deacon so ready to worship and pray,

Whose cellar was full of potatoes.

She said, "I will send for the deacon to come.

He'll not mind to give me some of

Such a store of potatoes."

The deacon came over as fast as he could,

Thinking to do the old lady some good;

But never thought once of potatoes.

He asked her directly to tell her chief want,

And she, simple soul, expecting a grant,

Immediately answered, "Potatoes".

But the deacon's religion went not that way.

He was more accustomed to preach and to pray,

Than to give of his hoarded potatoes.

So not hearing, of course, what the old lady said,

He rose to pray with uncovered head.

She only thought of potatoes.

He prayed for patience, for wisdom, for grace,

But when he prayed, "Oh Lord, give her peace".

She audibly sighed, "Give potatoes".

At the end of each pray that he said,

He heard, or thought that he heard, in its stead,

The same request for potatoes.

The deacon was troubled - he knew not what to do.

T'was embarrassing, very, to have her act so

About those 'carnal potatoes'.

So ending his prayer, he started for home.

As the door closed behind him, he heard a deep groan.

"Oh give to the hungry, potatoes".

And that groan followed him all the way home,

In the midst of the night it haunted his room.

"Oh give to the hungry, potatoes".

He could bear it no long--he arose and dressed.

From his well-filled cellar taking in haste

A bag of his best potatoes.

Again, he went to the widow's lone hut.

Her sleepless eyes she had not yet shut.

But there she sat in her old arm-chair,

With the same wan features, the same said air.

So entering in he poured on the floor

A bushel or more of his goodly store

Of the very best potatoes.

The widow's heart leaped up for joy,

Her face was haggard and w an no more.

"Now", said the deacon, "Shall we pray?"

"Yes" said the widow, "Now you may".

And he kneeded on the sanded floor

Where he had poured out his goodly store.

Such a prayer the deacon prayed.

As never before his lips essayed.

No longer embarrassed but free and full.

He poured out the voice of a liberal soul.

And the widow responded with a loud "Amen".

And said no more of potatoes.

Would you who hear this simple tale,

Pray for the poor and praying prevail.

Then preface your prayers with alms and good deeds.

Search out the poor with their cares and their deeds.

Pray for peace and grace and Heavenly food.

Pray for wisdom and guidance, for these are all good.

But don't forget the potatoes.

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? The Holy ghost profession

I profess that...

The Holy Ghost is my friend, He is a gentlemen,

He has a personality, and His feelings can be hurt...

and I determine never to hurt Him.

He is the fire that drives me...

He is the love that comforts me...

He is the wind that moves me...

He is the rain that cleanses me...

He is the seal, of promise...

He is my teacher, who teaches me all Gods ways...

He is the anointing oil that anoints me as I do the work of God...

He is the river of life that flows out of my belly...

He is God, the Holy Ghost...

I need more of the Holy Ghost , and I will seek

more of Him daily, to renew me, and to guide me.

I know that more of the Holy Ghost

means more of God the Father and God the son also.

this is my goal... and through God's word,

I will acheive this goal.
